How far along? 17 weeks, 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: -3 lbs
Maternity clothes? I can still fit in my jeans (parts are even loose!) but sitting down doesn't really work so I ordered maternity jeans/pants today
Stretch marks? I'm worried about this as I always forget to use lotion
Sleep: I can't sleep in any more, do to the peeing thing, it is driving Brad and me nuts
Best moment this week: Not sucking at going out for St Patrick's Day! I was worried that I wouldn't have fun going out in Seattle this year and I would be lame. But we were out from 4pm to 11 pm with no complaining and I had fun.
Miss Anything? feeling cute, had a guy hit on me at the bar but when he figured out I was pregnant... well you can guess
Movement: I can't wait to feel him/her! Everyone says it will happen soon but it is hard to wait. If I hadn't heard the heart beat at our 16 week appointment, I might be freaking out.
Food cravings: Sweets, This week it is sherbet ice cream
Anything making you queasy or sick: I feel so lucky but not even all the whiskey or the smelly hippies in Seattle could made me queasy.
Have you started to show yet: Yes! But sadly I'm at the stage where everyone just thinks I'm fat or getting fat.
Gender prediction: Boy, we find out April, 6th
Labor Signs: I got a stomachache last week and called my Doctor, he told me to calm down lol
Belly Button in or out? I'm sure when I get huge it will pop out... I am not looking forward to that
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Impatient, I want to do and get everything right NOW!!! Thanks goodness I have my mom and Brad to calm me down.
Looking forward to: Feeling the baby for the first time!

Stuff
When we first found out we were pregnant I got the the most amazing advice from my best pregnant friend, Kaylee. She is 4 months ahead of us and was in the process of building her registry. I was looking at her registry and both of us being new to this parenthood game were very surprised on how much stuff babies need. We are not talking little stuff but large expensive stuff that for safety reasons (as everything can now kill your baby) you can no longer get used as our parents use too. She recommended to me that we start buying one big thing each month so when it game down to the wire, aka the 8th month, we wouldn't be having to buy it all at once. This advice has been a life saver! We have all our furniture, breast pump, carriers, and car seat. We are at the 4th month and while we still have a lot of stuff to get, we still have a ways to go as well. Brad has been teasing me that the baby could come tomorrow and we would be set. Lucky for us that we have 5 more months to go as it takes more to raise a child than just stuff.

I did not get fired!!!
Since one of my co workers at work found out about my pregnancy on Facebook I knew I was going to have to tell my boss soon about the baby. My original brilliant plan had been to wait until maybe my water broke at work or someone had a weight intervention for me when I could no longer see my feet. But alas this was not to be... my biggest fear was that I would lose my job before Brad and I were ready for that step and my child would have to sleep in a basket in a van down by the river. Okay a bit dramatic, but the Baby Moon we want to go on would definitely be out of the question. To say my boss is not a understanding man and is very focused on growing his business is a gross understatement and with my company being so small none of the maternity laws could protect me. But I have to give credit where credit is due, he did not fire me and seemed generally happy for Brad and me. He even said that I could take off as much time as I needed and my job would be there waiting for me. The shock must have been all over my face as he laughed and said, "Why do you look so shocked?" I would have answered that is was because almost every other day he insults my intelligence and makes me question why they call work "work" instead of "hell"... but that seemed a bit like over stepping myself when he was being so nice. Any way the good news is that our great news is out and now I can be grumpy/tired, eat more snacks, and avoid smelly people at work and everyone blames the baby. Plus I didn't get fired!

12 Weeks 5 days
How far along? 12 weeks, 5 days
Total weight gain/loss: -6 lbs
Maternity clothes? I bought the most comfy maternity sweatshirt from target and I LOVE to wear it.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: like a rock and pop right up in the morning
Best moment this week: Brad getting to see our baby move at our Dr visit on Tuesday
Miss Anything? Shoping for clothes... kinda loses all the fun when you have no idea what size you are going to be this summer.
Movement: Sadly the Dr told me that I most likely won't feel the baby move until past 20 weeks do to where the baby is sitting.
Food cravings: Sweets.... I ate an entire plate of rice crispie treats yesterday
Anything making you queasy or sick: The Valentines Day Holiday, but nothing pregnancy related
Have you started to show yet: Just a little bump
Gender prediction: Forget everyone else I'm sticking with a BOY!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In (out=ewwwwww)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: stir crazy I need a prodject
Looking forward to: installing the new floors in the baby room
Total weight gain/loss: -6 lbs

I have a bump
My two concerns are that;
#1- I don't want to blow up like the Michelin Man. I know I'm going to get big, I'm the kinda girl who's feet swell up so much on airplanes that if I take my heels off I can't get them back on when the plane lands. Don't even get me started on hot summer days I swell up like a marshmallow on fire! Now imagine a 8 month pregnant me in August... no wait please don't there will be pictures soon enough. Any way there will be enough time for me to be big later isn't 11 weeks a little early to be showing?
#2- I haven't told my work. You see...
The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) is a United States federal law requiring covered employers to provide employees job-protected unpaid leave for qualified medical and family reasons.
This would be great if not for this tiny problem...
The federal FMLA does not apply to: workers in businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
My work only has about 35 employees and while I know my boss can't fire me for being pregnant, my fear is that he will find a way. The issue is that there is just no way my work can afford for me to be gone for that long and not replace me. While our plan is for me not to go back to work there, I still want to work up until the last few days. But there is no need for them to know that, right? If I start showing this early however, I won't be able to hide this much longer. So next week after our 12 week appointment I am going to have to say something to my boss, wish me luck... I'm going to need it.
So regardless of my future puffy-ness and possible joblessness, I guess have a bump!
********Post Script********
NEVER ask a woman if she is pregnant based on her weight or possible baby bump. This girl was super lucky! If I had not been pregnant, I might have clawed her eyes out or more likely had to stay at the gym for another hour out of self consciousness.
